“The Organic Mechanic”

Founded in 2006, The Organic Mechanics Soil Company, LLC is a manufacturer and distributor of premier organic potting soils and soil amendments for the professional and consumer gardening communities.

Our products can be found in independent garden centers, natural food stores, farmers markets, and botanical gardens across the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, and Midwest regions of the United States.

The inaugural product launch in 2007 introduced our Premium Blend, a 100% organic, premium quality potting soil. In 2008 we expanded the line to include our all-purpose Container Blend potting soil, as well as our nutrient-rich Worm Castings. 2010 brought the introduction of our compost-based soil amendment called Planting Mix.

Most recently, in 2011, we were proud to introduce our newest addition, Seed Starting Blend, the perfect soil mix to sow all of your seeds. In the years to come, new product innovations will be developed to fill the needs of our customers, and complement the core product line of
Organic Mechanics® potting soils.

Have an idea for a product you wish we would offer? Please send your comments and feedback here.

If you seek the best performing, earth-friendly potting soil on the market today at a reasonable price, dig your hands into a bag of Organic Mechanics and start gardening. Your plants will love you for it!

August brings the heat to ripen so many fruits and veggies, especially hot peppers. Don’t forget to keep things watered if you’re not getting consistent rain, and fertilize one last time if needed to push the remaining fruits to grow and ripen.
